Weekly Message

As always, it’s a busy time of year with lots of events and fund-raising activities taking place. Thank you so much for all your generosity regarding Mission Christmas- we have sent out 300 presents so far with more arriving on a daily basis. It is fantastic that we can reach out at this time of year and help others.

Just a reminder that over the next two weeks, we have the following events taking place:

  • On Wednesday 13 December and Thursday 14 December: we are holding the school’s Christmas Concerts (starting time 1900 with refreshments available in the foyer from 1815).  PLEASE NOTE BOTH CONCERTS ARE NOW SOLD OUT.
  • Thursday 14 December: we are serving Christmas lunch. Please remember that the Dining Hall will only be available on this day for pupils who have paid for the lunch.
  • Monday 18 December: Marcus MacCormack (Year 8) is taking part in “Brave the Shave” (he has raised over £700 so far for MacMillan Cancer Support)
  • Thursday 21 December: last day of term and a non-school uniform day (details to be sent out next week)

Year 7 Large Catch in Catch & Release Competition

Samuel James (7L2) found success recently in the Gosport & District Junior catch and release competition. Coming 3rd in the overall competition, Sam caught the heaviest fish of the competition with a 10lb 4oz undulate ray.

Sam has achieved great things yet again in the world of fishing. Well done from the Year 7 team for another brilliant catch. Keep up the great work ?

Miss S Haynes, Year 7 Manager

Year 8 Basketball Success

We had an excellent finish to our Year 8 Basketball season, finishing 3 wins 1 loss with the final game against Porchester ending with a convincing 33-9 win. Dylan Coleman (8C) was named man of the match.
