It has been a great third week back in school!

On Tuesday we ‘opened’ our virtual doors to prospective parents/carers and pupils with our Virtual Open Evening. We really missed not being able to hold our usual open evening which involves our entire school community – staff, pupils and governors. In its place, however, we offered a virtual tour, pre-recorded content from pupils and subject leaders and four live Q and A sessions with a cross-section of Cams Hill School staff. The feedback has been incredibly positive, and we truly hope that we have been able to capture the essence of our school for people to see that it really is a great place to learn and work.

The PE Department’s after-school clubs are now underway (in year group bubbles) and we are about to publish on our website the other extra-curricular and co-curricular opportunities on offer for our pupils.

The weather has been changeable this week as expected. Many pupils have come to school prepared with a warm and waterproof coat to wear over their blazers. We urge parents/carers to bear this in mind and equip their son/daughter for the time they will spend outside in the weeks ahead and in well-ventilated classrooms. Please refer to the published uniform expectations on our website where you will read that pupils are able to wear a Cams Hill School jumper under their blazer (a PE jumper can be worn under their blazer on the days that pupils have PE). Suitable and discreet layers worn under school shirts may also be something pupils should consider.

Dates for the Diary

The Year 7 Settling-in Evening is coming up soon on the Tuesday 13 October 2020 as well as the Year 10 Tutor Parents’ Evening. Both evenings will be virtual and parents/carers will be sent further details.
