Year 10 Work Experience – Can  You Offer a Placement to a Pupil?

Year 10 pupils will be required to undertake a week of work experience from 9 March to 13 March 2026.  They attended an assembly this week to inform them about how this will work and the best way to find a placement.  Paperwork has been sent home to provide parents/carers with further information.  If you are an employer and would like to offer a pupil work experience, please do get in touch by emailing careers@camshill.com.

Islamophobia Awareness Month – November 2025

Islamophobia Awareness Month is an annual campaign held in November to raise awareness about Islamophobia, which includes prejudice, discrimination, and hatred against Muslims and Islam.

Its goals are to challenge stereotypes, highlight the positive contributions of Muslims to society, and provide a platform to discuss and combat anti-Muslim sentiment and hate crimes.

Pupils have been watching a video in tutor times to raise awareness of prejudice and discrimination against Muslims but also highlighting the importance of standing up against unkindness and discrimination against all people, regardless of their religion, culture, or identity. This is a key British Value of Mutual Respect and Tolerance.

Roblox Pop-Ups

We have been made aware of a pop-up that is appearing on Roblox, encouraging children to download an app called pollybuzz (or pollyfuzz in some spelling cases). The app seems quite simple where children are asked questions, and it generates an Artificial Intelligence ‘friend’ – this starts off quite innocently but then begins to show extreme content (including suicide, self-harm and pornography). It may be helpful to remind children about not clicking on pop-ups in games and to report anything that is worrying or inappropriate to a trusted adult. Roblox has parental controls and instructions on how to implement these can be accessed via this link:

Parental Controls Overview – Roblox Support

Please be advised that parental controls will not stop all pop ups.
