16th March 2018

Weekly Message

It was a mixed week for sport at Cams Hill. The Year 7 boys’ rugby team lost 45-20 and the Year 8 boys’ rugby team lost 40-7. Both matches were against Brookfield. However, the Year 7/8 girls’ football team won a thrilling match 11-9 against Brookfield.

On Thursday, 13 Year 9 pupils worked all day on the BBC School Report. Based in the school Library, they divided themselves into teams and worked on the stories of the day, with two pupils acting as the news anchors. Their report will be published on the school website. Thank you to Miss Reeves and the English Department for organising this.

Throughout this week the Science Department have been delivering assemblies on the use of plastic, particularly single-use plastic items. Thank you to the department for these thought-provoking sessions.

Credits Milestone

Further credit success this week for two Year 9 girls achieving over 200 credits and their silver lapel badge. Massive congratulations to Enola Barnett and Lily Salter both in 9S.

Miss Cochran, Head of Year 9
