Year 9   3.65

Year 10  1.13

As we continue to embrace the opportunity to spread some festive cheer, today has been especially seasonal with staff and pupils sporting their favourite Christmas jumper as part of our non-school uniform day. We invited pupils to donate £1 or £2 to charity with this year’s donations going to Children In Need and other local charities and the response has been phenomenal. We cannot thank our Cams Hill School Community enough for their generosity and support, especially during these uncertain times.

Thank you to all Year 11 Parents and Carers who were able to attend the Year 11 Subject Parents’ Evening on Tuesday and for the feedback provided with the completion of the questionnaire. There was good discussion about current progress and how pupils can prepare themselves as effectively as possible ahead of the exams later this year.

A reminder to parents and carers that the school closes to pupils at 1230 on Friday 18 December 2020 for the Christmas holiday.  The school re-opens to pupils on Monday 4 January 2021 for the Spring Term.

Tutor Decorating Competition

It has been a serious day of negotiations at Cams Hill School. At one point we feared we would be locked in discussion for hours, to come to a decision but we are pleased to announce a deal was reached.)

This year our three areas we were looking at were Creativity, Atmosphere and Classy Deco and the bar was high.

I can proudly announce… the winners for the our two categories are below:

Eco: Winner – 7H4 (Mrs Dance)

Eco Runner Up – 7H1 (Miss Righetti)

Traditional: Winner – 11A (Mr Sanders)

Christmas Dinner

At Cams Hill School we are very lucky to have the most creative and amazing catering team. This year, despite the complexity of Covid, they have still managed to treat us to a tasty Christmas feast.

The smells from the canteen were too much to resist as many of our pupils eagerly purchased our festive baguettes and Christmas goodies. We are #CamsAndProud to have a team that work so hard and deliver such delicious food for our #CamsCommunity.

Supporting Charity

We are still collecting for Mission Christmas and the Acts of Kindness Food bank. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our community for their kindness and generosity. It really is quite overwhelming.

Only yesterday, some very chipper Year 7s came trotting across with armfuls of food to put in the box. They had just been shopping and wanted to buy some extra to help.

Our final date to drop off donations is Tuesday 15 December 2020

It really does make a different. Thank you. #CamsKindness

GCSE History Newsletters

The History Department have produced a newsletter specifically for pupils in Years 10 and 11 which is available on our website via the link below. The newsletter is full of information to help pupils keep up to date with their learning in this subject. We ask parents/carers to direct their child to this newsletter if they are taking GCSE History.
