House Points Averages for This Week

Year 7                    5.91 points

Year 8                    4.41 points

Year 9                    3.63 points

Year 10                  2.45 points

A huge well done to all Year 10 pupils who sat their exams in English, Maths and Science this week in the Sports Hall under formal conditions.  It is important for pupils to have this experience and become familiar with the rules, regulations and expectations set by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) ahead of the external exams they will take next year.

Thank you as well to our team of exam invigilators who advise, supervise and support the pupils with their exams; their work is much appreciated by staff and pupils alike, making the exams run smoothly.

Key Stage 3 Art

As we near the final weeks of the Summer Term, the Art Department are gearing up to put on another fabulous display of Key Stage 3 independent learning homework. This term pupils were given a specific task depending on their year group and the results will proudly be on display along the main corridor of the school.

Year 7 were asked to create their journey to school in a fun way.

Year 8 were asked to create a relief seashell in any medium they could get their hands on.

Year 9 were challenged to create a Marmite jar as a piece of art in a specialism of their choice.

Well done to all those who have handed in their homework projects so far and received well deserved house points.

Mrs Oswald-Cutler’s (Curriculum Leader of Art) favourites so far are photographed for your enjoyment.
