Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope that you have enjoyed some rest and relaxation over the festive break and have been able to spend time with friends and family.

Pupils have hit the ground running on their return to school this week, getting back into the rhythm of school life and learning. Miss Matthews and Mr Hudson (Co-Heads of School) have delivered an assembly to each year group focusing on the word “why” encouraging pupils to use this word wisely, not to cause conflict or be obstructive but to increase their understanding of the world around them.

We maintain our focus on all pupils being Ready, Respectful and Safe in school as the essential ingredients to support the best outcomes.

Next week, to uphold our high standards, we will be introducing an equipment check to our morning routine. This is to ensure our pupils are ready to learn in line with our school values and as part of the Behaviour Curriculum.  Please help us by ensuring your child comes to school with a pen, pencil and a ruler (as a minimum).

Please note that the dates of forthcoming events can be found on the school’s calendar published on our website, The school will be closed to pupils on 27 January 2023 as this is an INSET Day (a common closure day across several schools in Fareham and Gosport).
