Weekly Message 285 – 5 December 2025
5th December 2025

Our Christmas Lunch was a wonderful success, with the catering team delivering a phenomenal meal ensuring every plate was served with care. The pupil leadership team and members of school staff offered exceptional support, helping the event run smoothly. Great teamwork ensured the quick turnaround between each sitting. It is always a fabulous occasion bringing the school community together.
Prepared for Wet Weather
We ask parents and carers for their support in ensuring pupils come to school dressed appropriately for wet weather. A number of pupils continue to arrive without a coat or using their blazers as hoods instead of proper waterproof clothing.
Please make sure your child leaves home with a suitable coat each morning, especially on days when rain is forecast. Your support with this helps us keep pupils comfortable, focused, and ready to learn as soon as they arrive. Thank you for working with us to maintain a smooth and positive start to the school day for everyone.
Lost Property
We currently have a large amount of lost property in Reception, including coats, blazers and other items. Please remind your children to check for anything they may have misplaced, or feel free to come and look through the items yourself.
We have reunited with their owners, what we can, but many belongings remain unclaimed. To help avoid this in future, please ensure all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Any property left at the end of term will be donated to charity.
Thank you for your support.
Art Club’s Christmas Trees

The last few weeks have seen Art Club getting into the Christmas spirit by creating some festive trees to help decorate the Cams Food Court for the Whole School Christmas Lunch.
Each Art Club member was given a cardboard tree to paint and decorate with catering-related items; paper straws and dip pots, wooden forks and spoons, paper cups and plates … the list goes on! They were tasked to turn the items into decorative elements, and they did an amazing job. We had robins made from forks, holly berries made from cake cases, and candy canes made from paper straws.
The Food Court was made beautifully festive thanks to these trees, and their owners will be able to take them home to show their friends and family soon.
For the remaining two weeks, Art Club will be creating some needle-felted robins to take home in time for Christmas.
Art Club is in Art2 on Wednesdays from 1500 to 1545.
Red Barn Primary School Visit
Pupils from Red Barn Primary School visited us this week to experience our food and nutrition provision. During their session, they explored the full process of making pizza from scratch. They learned how to work with dough, practising techniques such as mixing, kneading and shaping before preparing it for baking. The pupils then enjoyed customising their pizzas with a variety of toppings, allowing them to be creative. Once baked, they were able to taste and evaluate their final dishes, rounding off a fun, hands-on learning experience.
