Weekly Message 289 – 16 January 2026
16th January 2026
As we come to the end of another successful week, we would like to commend our pupils for the strong commitment to learning they are routinely demonstrating in lessons. Their focus, effort, and positive attitudes, alongside their responsiveness to the expert in the room, their teacher, continue to create purposeful and productive classrooms.
We are also proud of the kindness our pupils show each other. We encourage everyone to remain courteous, respectful, and thoughtful of others always, both in and beyond school, as these values underpin our community.
A reminder for families with cyclists: for pupils’ safety, cycle helmets are expected to be worn when travelling to and from school. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our children safe.
Wishing you a restful and enjoyable weekend.
Homework Club

Homework plays an important role in reinforcing learning, building independence, and developing effective study habits. We appreciate your continued support in ensuring pupils complete their homework to the best of their ability.
For pupils who would benefit from additional guidance or a quiet space to work, our Homework Club provides a supportive and welcoming environment and is warmly encouraged. Refreshments are provided!

Art Club – Puppet Making Project

This term, Art Club is embarking on a specialist puppet making project which will last around six weeks. So far, we have chosen features such as head, body, and hand shapes, as well as choosing the fabric colour and texture for our puppets. There is a wonderful array of colour, design, and texture for all the puppets. This week we have begun cutting out our puppet pattern pieces ready to cut out the fabric and foam in the next few weeks.
Year 10 Work Experience

We are currently looking for employers to take Year 10 pupils for work experience 9-13 March. Work experience is hugely beneficial to pupils, giving them an insight into the world of work and helping to build their skills and confidence. If you have Employer Liability Insurance then this covers pupils on a work placement. If you think you can help, please contact Miss Vadis careers@camshill.com.
