Duke of Edinburgh’s Award – Silver Expedition
As we celebrate the end of another successful week, let’s take pride in the courage, courtesy, and commitment shown by everyone across our school community. Whether it is the courage shown by pupils stepping out of their comfort zones in class discussions, the everyday courtesy demonstrated through respectful interactions and support for one another, or the commitment seen in excellent attendance, punctuality and dedication to learning – these values are at the heart of everything we do.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award – Silver Expedition
Last weekend we saw the Silver Award Duke of Edinburgh expedition completed on the Isle of Purbeck. 13 pupils walked for 3 days and camped for 2 nights carrying all their food and supplies and, despite the weather not being ideal, managed to miss the worst of the rain.
Day 1 Walked from the Studland Ferry to Corfe Castle along the Poole Harbour path.
Day 2 The route took them from Corfe Castle along to the coast and then following the coastal footpath to Dancing Edge. A great stretch of the coastline on well-marked paths.
Day 3 Walked back towards the starting point of the weekend. Finishing on Knoll Beach, not before they walked past Old Harry’s Rocks. We then all celebrated their efforts with an ice cream on the beach right before the heavens opened!
Pride Month – Week 2
This week, to celebrate Week 2 of Pride Month, Alphabet Association has hidden gnomes around the school.
Hiding things represents the fact that members of the LGBTQ+ community can feel the need to want to protect a part of themselves in environments where judgment or misunderstanding can be present.
Be Proud and unapologetic. Celebrate your true self!

MathsWatch and Educake
These are two online resources that we expect pupils to be accessing routinely with homework set by teachers and independently to support their progress in Maths, Science, and other subjects. We ask parents/carers to check in with their child to see whether they are accessing these resources routinely and to encourage the best use of them.
If there are issues with access, please bring this to the school’s attention as soon as possible so that we can help.
