Welcome back after the summer break – the Autumn Term and new school year are underway!

The start of a new school year is always an exciting time and there has been a real buzz about the place this week; we very much look forward to working with pupils, parents and carers throughout the year that lies ahead.

What is the Weekly Message?

For our new readers, our weekly message offers a reflection on the week past, a vehicle to celebrate pupil success, contribution and achievement and to highlight forthcoming events and activities. We ask parents and carers to also refer to the school’s website and calendar to keep up-to-date with more specific details about the year ahead.

Year 7 Transition

Year 7 pupils and tutors enjoyed a fabulous team building afternoon out on the field on Monday and have since been familiarising themselves with their new school routine and making new friends. They are successfully navigating themselves around school and enjoying the level of independence the secondary school environment offers.

Ready, Respectful, Safe

To embed a positive culture, we focus our school community on being ready, respectful and safe. Pupils have arrived prepared for learning, with many meeting new teachers and experiencing some subjects for the first time.

Letter from the Headteacher

Mrs Harrison-Jones has written to parents/carers today referencing a number of important points as we move into Week 2 of the Autumn Term, including a reminder about uniform, testing and the staggered start to the day.

Clubs, Extra-curricular and Co-curricular Activities

Extra-curricular and co-curricular activities will be up and running very soon – the timetable of what will be on offer will be published on the school’s website very soon, so do watch this space!
