This week’s message is written as we ‘close’ our doors following the Government’s announcement on Wednesday.

Saying farewell to all the pupils has been difficult but it has been particularly difficult saying goodbye to our Class of 2020 who have had to come to terms with a final year that no one would ever have anticipated.

We were afforded the opportunity today in a leavers’ assembly to celebrate their achievements as valued members of the Cams Hill School community and to look back at the time we have had together. There was also time for informal reflection and ‘shirt signing’ with laughter and tears of joy, sadness and of course disbelief, with the realisation that these pupils have now left school.

The staff of Cams Hill School wish our leavers the very, very best for their future which is bright for each and every one of them.

The school will continue to communicate directly with parents/carers as and when there is information to be shared or with an update with regards to the current position.

We refer parents/carers to the communication sent by Mrs Harrison-Jones (Headteacher) on Thursday 19 March 2020 which explains how to contact the school should parents/carers need to. We will endeavour to reply as promptly as possible dependent on staff availability.

One school closes and another school opens… you will have received a separate communications if this applies to you.

It is evident working in our school community these past few weeks, that people come together showing incredible support and kindness towards each other in times of need; we have valued this immensely.

We wish all our staff, pupils, parents and carers well over the coming weeks.
