Wishing all our readers a Happy New Year!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pupils have returned following the Christmas break in good spirits and refreshed for another successful term ahead. This term will see Year 9 beginning the Guided Choices programme as they determine their chosen subjects for Year 10 and 11, Year 11 continue to gear up for their final GCSE exams with a raft of revision support and intervention on offer across all subjects and there are a number of off-site activities and trips planned to enrich pupils learning in the classroom.<\/p>\n

The weekly message is published every Friday and aims to share information and celebrate achievement. Please be advised that all events taking place during the school year can be found on the calendar on the school\u2019s website \u2013\u00a0https:\/\/www.camshill.com\/information\/calendar\/<\/a>.\u00a0 If you wish to contact the school and speak with a member of staff, please also refer to our contact us details on the website.<\/p>\n

Teenage Booster (Diphtheria\/Tetanus\/Polio and Meningitis ACWY)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just a reminder for parents of Year 9 Boys and Girls that the vaccinations are taking place here at school on Monday 14 January 2019 and Wednesday 16 January 2019. In order to be able to have the vaccination we must have a completed consent form (If you misplaced please ask your child to come and collect another and there will also be some in Main Reception).<\/p>\n

The form should be completed and returned to the Attendance, Health and Wellness Officer via the Main Reception. If we do not receive a completed form then your child will be unable to be vaccinated. If you do NOT wish your child to be vaccinated the form does have a section which will need to be completed or alternatively you can email direct to office@camshill.com stating you do not wish your child to receive the vaccination<\/p>\n

Please try to ensure your child is wearing a short sleeved blouse\/shirt.<\/p>\n

Year 11 2017\/18 Certificate Evening<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday 17 January 2019 from 3.30pm \u2013 6.00pm we welcome back our Year 11 cohort 2018 to collect their GCSE certificates and work for the practical subjects We would be grateful if you could let the school know if you are attending.<\/p>\n

Regional Heat Winners – FLL Tournament<\/strong><\/p>\n

Congratulations Haiden White, Joshua Stanning, Charlie Trafford and Oscar Jones. As part of Team Agile Supernova, they have won the First Lego League Tournament regional heat held at the University of Portsmouth. The team will now compete at the FIRST\u00ae LEGO\u00ae League UK and Ireland Final held in February 2019.<\/p>\n

FIRST\u00ae LEGO\u00ae League (FLL) is a global science and technology challenge for teams of ten students aged 9 to 16 years, to encourage an interest in real world issues and develop key skills that are crucial for their future careers. The students work together to explore a given topic and make a presentation as well as design, build and program an autonomous LEGO robot to solve a series of missions.<\/p>\n

The team members are made up of pupils from Cams Hill as well as other local secondary schools.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
