The School is celebrating yet another year of success with excellent achievement from Year 11 with their GCSE results. The School continues to enjoy the confidence and positive support of parents and the community. It is this support and genuine working together, which underpins pupil achievement and ensures the School sustains its high standards.

  • Of the 204 pupils on roll, 84.8% achieved 5+ A* - C.
  • 66.7% of pupils achieved 5+ A* - C grades including English and Mathematics
  • 25.4% of grades were at A* and A. There were 45 pupils with A* and 103 pupils with A grades
  • 98.5% of pupils achieved 5+ A* - G grades overall
  • Highlights include 2 pupils achieving all A* and A grades
  • 89.2% of pupils achieved 2+ A* - C grades in Science subjects

Pupils, staff, parents and Governors are to be congratulated on a great team effort.

It's all been going on in the Maths Department this week. Monday saw the finals of the X2 Factor. Pupils in Year 9 have spent the last two weeks writing maths songs and two finalists from each group performed in the grand final. More

‘Jim’ as he preferred to be known by everyone was appointed Chairman of Governors in 1989. Twenty years later, on 6 February 2009, Jim officially opened the new Events Hall named in his honour. More
