Weekly Message

The GCSE exams start in earnest next week so we would like to advise all of you on some changes in timings during the day which are taking place to accommodate the exams. For the entire exam period until the end of June, the times of the school day will be changing to Tuesday timings but with two lessons each afternoon. This is because of the large number of examinations we have this year both in mornings and afternoons.

Tuesday timings remain unchanged. School will finish at 1410 on Tuesdays as normal.

REVISED TIMINGS FOR MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS

Exam Day Times

For Year 11 pupils, we have also arranged breakfast and water as well as an ‘exam energiser’/revision session before each exam. These will run as follows:

AM (morning) EXAMS: Breakfast in the Dining Hall 07.30-08.00 followed by 08.00-08.25 energiser/last-minute revision. These will mainly be in classrooms but there will be signage on the day to make this clear.  Then the pupils will line up on the hard courts ready for their exam.

PM (afternoon) EXAMS: Energiser/revision session 12.35-13.05 then pupils will line up on the hard courts.

If you are a Year 11 parent/carer, we would appreciate you reminding your son/daughter of these arrangements.
